High-flying George Afriyie retains Ghana FA Executive Committee slot, big gun Kudjoe Fianoo loses seat

George Afriyie retained his seat on the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee after Tuesday's election for Premier League clubs with AshantiGold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo becoming the major casualty. 

The highly-respected Liberty Professionals official polled 11 votes which was the highest on the day to pick one of the six slots available for club's in the Ghana top-flight.

He will serve another four-year term and retain his position as Black Stars management committee chairman.

Afriyie was joined by Inter Allies' Delali Senaye, Frank Nelson, Albert Commey, Opoku Nti and Nanabenyin Eyison.

Fianoo, who won the Ghana Premier League with AshantiGold, failed in his bid to retained his seat after polling a paltry 4 votes.
