BREAKING NEWS: Ghana midfielder Seidu Salifu joins Turkish side Adana
Seidu Salifu signing the deal with Adana Demirspor on Saturday

Former youth international midfielder Seidu Salifu has joined Turkish side Adana Demirspor, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The 22-year-old signed a three-year contract with the second tier side Saturday afternoon following a successful medical.

The former Wa All Stars midfielder has signed the deal to revive his career after a torrid time with Tunisian giants Club Africain.

Salifu, once touted as the replacement for Michael Essien forced himself out of the Tunisian after several months of frustrations and unpaid wages.

He signed for Club Africain in 2013 after helping Ghana win bronze at the U20 World Cup in Turkey.

Salifu helped Africain to win the Tunisian Ligue 1 title last season where he made 26 appearances and scored one goal.

In 2013, coach Sellas Tetteh called him up to be a member of the Ghana Under 20 national team for the 2013 African Youth Championship in Algeria.

Salifu was a member of the Ghana Under 20 national team for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey and played a crucial role as the side clinched the bronze medal.

In March 2015, he got his debut call up into Ghana's senior national football team the Black Stars and has since not been called to the side.

His move to Adana could help him gain more playing time and force his way back into the Black Stars.
