Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh has named two highly-rated youngsters Godfred Donsah of Cagliari and Yaw Yeboah of Manchester City in his starting line-up for their World Cup opener against Austria on Saturday morning while talented Clifford Aboagye is dropped to the bench.
It is unclear why Spain-based Aboagye has been dropped but he looks to be down with injury or illness.
The Black Satellites starting line-up is dominated by players who played at the U20 African championship in Senegal earlier this year but has been boosted by the presence of several foreign-based players.
Austria-based goalkeeper Lawrence Ati has taken over the position of Mutawakilu Seidu as the latter failed to impress for the Black Satellites at the Africa Youth Championship.
France-based Emmanuel Ntim is another foreign-based player to have captured a position in the team as the Valenciennes right-back moves straight into the team for the opener against Austria.
Hearts of Oak left-back Owusu Bempah will lead the side and also lead the player who are home-based in the talented squad led by the legendary coach Tetteh.
Ntim will play in the right-back while Bempah will play in the left-back.
Inter Allies defender Joseph Aidoo will partner BA United centre-back Patrick Asmah at the heart of the defence while Donsah, Asiedu Attobrah and Austria-based David Atanga will play in midfield.
Home-based duo of Mighty Jets star Benjamin Tetteh and Samuel Tetteh of WAFA will lead the attack with support behind them coming from Yaw Yeboah.
