Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club have asked head coach Bashir Hayford to proceed on a one-month leave, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

According to statement on the club's website on Monday, newly-signed assistant coach Yusif Abubakar and Emmanuel Adotey will prepare the team for this week's encounter with Aduana Stars in Dormaa.

"We regret the decision but details will be made known later," club president Moses Armah told www.medeamasc.com

Medeama lost their season opener against Wa All Stars in a shock 2-1 reverse at the Essipong Stadium on Sunday.
