Aduana Stars marksman Bright Adjei has reiterated his joy with their 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in this year's Super Cup on Sunday.

The Fire Boys suffered a 2-0 defeat at hands of the Porcupine Warriors in the GHALCA G-8, which effectively knocked the defending Premier League champions off the tournament.

But the Dormaa-based outfit bounced back from that disappointing defeat in the Super Cup clash at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium as Bright Adjei's solitary strike proved to be the winner.

Speaking after the match, Adjei, who has the knack of scoring beautiful goals, pointed out that their determination to avenge the G-8 defeat played a key role in their victory.

“We were highly motivated coming into the game and looking at the quality of the players at our disposal we are adamant about beating Kotoko especially having lost to them in the G-8 competition," Adjei told reporters.

“So coming into the Super Cup clash yesterday, our coaches and management spoke to us and we were poised for the clash and am very happy won and delighted for our supporters.”

Aduana Stars will face off against Libyan side, Al Tahaddy in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League slated for February 11, 2018.
