A home draw for Pirates of South Africa against AC Leopards of Congo on Saturday will ensure they and Zamalek of Egypt advance from Group B.
Former Confederation Cup winners Etoile Sahel of Tunisia also need a draw, away to Stade Malien of Mali Sunday, to progress from Group A.
Ahly of Egypt can join them by winning at Esperance of Tunisia Saturday, and a draw would suffice if 2009 Confederation Cup title-holders Malien lose.
While matchday 5 of the second-tier African club competition marks the first opportunity this season for Etoile to book a last-four slot, the other three potential semi-finalists let chances slip two weekends ago.

Varied outlook for Tunisians
Record three-time Confederation Cup title-holders CS Sfaxien of Tunisia have been a major Group B disappointment, collecting just one point from a possible 12 and cannot reach the knockout stage.
The Tunisian side host Zamalek, a team they contained for 89 minutes in Cairo before losing to goal from Ivorian-born Burkina Faso citizen Abdoulaye Cisse.
