History was made in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, from 11-15 November 2017 with the organization of the first ever Confederation Africaine de Football course for Beach Soccer referees.

Twenty-four (24) referees from 11 Member Associations took part in the ground breaking course, which also served as a preparatory platform for the match officials ahead of next year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Egypt.

The participants also discussed thoroughly and reviewed the Laws of the Games, preparations for games and other theoretical sessions besides practical training to fine-tune for the qualifiers and the final tournament of the Beach Soccer AFCON.

It is expected to be the first of many such learning opportunities to develop and grow beach soccer across the continent.
