The chairperson of the Women’s League Board Leanier Addy has lauded the Ghana FA for absorbing all the cost associated with the running of the National Women’s League.

The 2014/15 championship playoff between Southern and Northern Zone winners, Hasaacas Ladies and Ampem Darkoa Ladies respectively has been set for December 27.

The GFA has taken up the total cost of organizing the National Women’s League which has no sponsors.

And chairperson of the organizing body Leanier Addy has praised the Ghanaian federation for sustaining the league in the absence of any financial support.

"The GFA has done well to meet the club's halfway by helping transport teams for games," she said.

"The league is without sponsorship and it is a difficult situation.

"The FA has again taken up the cost of prize money to the team.

"We hope that by next season, we will have some sponsorship to help take off this burden on the GFA."
