Diego Costa has hit Chelsea with an injury scare.
The Daily Star says Costa was forced out of training on Saturday with an ankle problem, the Spanish Football Federation has revealed.
The 28-year-old visited the Sanitas Clinic in La Moraleja to have an X-ray on the knock and was given the OK.
Costa was on the scoresheet as Spain went top of their World Cup qualifying group with a 4-1 win over Israel on Friday.
But it remains to be seen whether he will be risked against France in Tuesday's friendly.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is said to have been informed of his star striker's condition.
The Italian is already sweating over the fitness of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, who have both suffered knocks on international duty with Belgium.
