Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says John Terry will only be selected on merit.
Terry featured in the FA Cup win over Wolves on Saturday.
Asked if he could see Terry lifting the Cup at Wembley, Conte swept his hand through the air, motioning to write his signature, and said: “I'd sign now for this. Right now I'd sign."
He continued: "I'm pleased to give a player the opportunity, but not for sentimental reasons.
“For me, John is a very important player, my captain and he's important on and off the pitch. He's helping me a lot."
