Black Stars management committee chairman George Afriyie does not expect a club versus row to happen if defender Baba Rahman having signed for champions Chelsea.

English clubs have played hardball especially with African countries over the release of players for international.

With the qualifiers to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations interspersed with the busy schedule in England, there are fears Chelsea might play tricks making Rahman available for matches.

But Afriyie, who doubles as a Ghana FA Executive Committee member, says Jose Mourinho will comply with the FIFA rules.

“Mandatory. On the day, they (Chelsea) does not have the right. They will not try. The right (to Baba) belongs to Ghana at that time,” Afriyie told Accra based Starr FM.

"Coach Avram Grant has always insisted that when it’s about an international match and the FIFA dates require that the player is released, then the player belongs to Ghana."

Rahman is expected to be named in Ghana's squad for next month's 2017  Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali.
