Here is a lowdown on how other Ghanaian players fared abroad.

SPAIN

Osasuna won the battle of the bottom clubs by beating Espanyol 3-0 at their own backyard.

Midfielder Anthony Annan sat on the bench for the winning team and Mubarak Wakaso was suspended from the Espanyol team.

Annan sat on the Osasuna bench but Wakaso was suspended for the game.

Michael Essien lasted the entire duration of the game for Real Madrid as they posted a 2-1 win over Levante.

In the Segunda B, young midfielder Thomas Partey played full throttle for Atletico Madrid as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Sporting Gijon II.

Starlet Paul Quaye starred in midfield for Espanyol II in their 1-1 draw with Llagostera.

In the Liga Nationale, striker Benjamin Patrick Akoto set up two goals for Atletico Madrid III as they posted a 3-0 win over Diocesano.

ITALY

Kwadwo Asamoah scored a spectacular goal for Juventus in their 6-1 thrashing of Pescara on Saturday.

Young midfielder Amidu Salifu continued to warm the bench for Catania who squeezed out a 0-0 draw from Cagliari.

Udinese and Chievo shared the spoils in 2-2 contest at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.

Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was out of the Udinese team while Isaac Coffie sat on the Chievo bench.

Youngster Moro Alhassan lost his place in the Genoa first team squad for their game against Napoli which they lost 4-2.

Kevin-Prince Boateng failed to live up to expectations after his AC Milan side suffered a 3-1 home loss to Fiorentina at the San Siro.

Compatriot Sulley Muntari missed the game due to injury.

Afriyie Acquah played the last 21 minutes for Parma in their 0-0 draw with Siena.

Black Stars new boy Joseph Alfred Duncan watched from the bench as his Inter Milan side suffered a 3-2 loss at Atalanta.

In the Serie B, Parma loanee Bright Addae was an unused substitute by Crotone in their 3-2 victory Empoli.

Both Yussif Raman Chibsah and striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom were involved in Sassuolo’s 2-0 win over Novara.

Defender Masahudu Alhassan lasted 76 minutes for Novara while Ahmed Barusso missed out of the team.

GERMANY

Young defender Baba Abdul Rahman warmed the bench for Greuther Furth in their 4-2 home defeat to Borussia M’gladbach.

In the Bundesliga II, striker Kwame Nsor did not travel with the Kaiserslautern first team to Paderborn which ended 1-1.

In the Liga 3, Arminia Bielefeld and Stuttgart II played out a pulsating 1-1 draw.

Defender Marcel Appiah played full throttle for Bielefeld while striker Eric Agyemang sat on the bench.

Striker Phil Ofosu-Aryeh was booked in the 26th minute and played full time for Rot-WeiƟ Erfurt in their 3-2 win over Chemnitzer FC.

ENGLAND

In the Npower Championship, Bristol City’s woes in the league continued on Sunday as Charlton Athletics defeated 2-0 at their own backyard.

Ghana returnee Albert Adomah played the entire match for Bristol City.

Prince Buaben continued his spell out of the Watford first team squad as they won 6-1 at Leeds United.

German-born striker Jeffrey Schulpp played the entire match for Leicester City in their 2-2 home draw against Nottingham Forest.

FRANCE

Black Stars midfielder Rabiu Mohammed was inspirational in midfield and played 68 minutes for Evian TG as they defeated Stade Reims 2-1.

Defender Jonathan Mensah missed out of the game due to injury.

Ghana winger Ishmael Yartey watched from the bench as his FC Sochaux side held giants Olympique Lyon to a 1-1 draw.

Defender John Boye was a pillar in defence for Stade Rennes when they hammered Nancy 3-1 at their own backyard.

Andre Ayew scored the opener for Marseille in their 2-2 home draw with OG Nice. Jordan Ayew also played the full match for Marseille.

In the Ligue 2, leaders AS Monaco continued their impressive run with a 2-0 win over Auxerre. Defender Dennis Appiah was out of the first team.

Haminu Dramani did not play for Arles Avignon in their 3-0 home reverse to Laval.

HOLLAND

Defender Johan Kappelhof marshalled the defence for FC Groningen in their 1-0 win over NAC Breda.

Nana Akwasi Asare saw full time action for FC Utrecht as they lost 4-0 at RKC Waalwijk.

Midfielder Kwame Quansah was out of the Heracles Almelo team in their 3-2 loss at NEC.

Starlet Edwin Gyasi warmed the bench for FC Twente in their 0-0 stalemate at Vitesse Arnhem.

PSV Eindhoven posted a 5-1 win over Heerenveen to go top of the table.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Memphis Depay and Matthew Amoah sat on the PSV and Heerenveen benches respectively.

Fred Benson played the entire regulation minutes for PEC Zwolle in their 4-2 loss to Ajax Amsterdam.

UKRAINE

Arsenal Kiev suffered a 1-0 loss at Chornomorets. Striker Dominic Adiyiah came off the bench after 79 minutes while Abeiku Quansah was unused.

SAUDI ARABIA

Veteran midfielder Godwin Attram played 76 minutes for Hajer in their 0-0 draw at Al Shoalah.

SWITZERLAND

Kwabena Asamoa-Frimpong played the last eight minutes for FC Zurich in their 4-1 victory at Thun.

TUNISIA

Harrison Afful and Emmanuel Clottey were full-timers for Esperance who began the new Tunisian League season with a 2-1 win at Olympique Beja.

    it seems our regular players are in franc.if u read the above list most are eighther benchwarmers or dont even earn a place in the 18 man team.

    Our bs players who continue to warm up d bench esp in ”lower leagues” must lift up their play if not AA must replace dem even if with local boys who r doing well in our ghana league this can let bs move up in their performance in play. AA pls take note!
