Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has finally signed a three year contract with Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 23-year-old defender joins the Kuwaiti super club after excelling in a loan deal with the club.

Sumaila who joins Qdasia from South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns where he won the PSL with the Brazilians in the 2013/2014 season playing in 25 out of 30 games of the season.

He rejoined Kotoko after failing to secure a purported move abroad but failed to kick a ball due to delay in resumption of the Ghana league.

Last season whiles on loan, he helped Qadsia place third in the league and reach the quarter final stage of the Asian confederation cup.

Sumaila also played in all games as the Royals won the coveted Amir cup in Kuwait.

He was a member of Ghana’s world cup squad  in Brazil but failed climb off the bench to play a part as Ghana crashed out at the group stage.
