Hearts of Oak striker Cosmos Dauda says his side’s 3-0 thrashing by WAFA will not stop them from winning the league insisting they are still winning the ultimate.
According to Cosmos, even though the defeat was embarrassing, it will not derail them from clinching the title for the first time in over seven years.
“I don’t see this defeat affecting our chances of winning the league. I expect everybody to believe that,” Dauda said in an interview with Asempa FM.
“I know our fans are disappointed but it’s just a game. I want to tell the fans that the league is still ongoing and we have a huge chance of winning it.”
“The league is open to everybody but I will apologize we couldn’t continue our winning run but I believe that we are still on course and I believe that things are going to turn around”. Cosmos added.
The defeat forced the Phobians to surrender their lead to Wa All Stars who are now on top with 41 points.
The Phobians are now 2nd with 39 points, two points above Aduana Stars and three ahead of their arch rivals Asante Kotoko in 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
