Midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is thrilled to have his earned his debut Black Stars call up and says he will not blow awayà the opportunity.
The Asante Kotoko top class player has been namedà in the country's 21- man squad for weekendââ¬â¢s return leg of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a terrific six-year spell with Kotoko and played and influential role in their Premier League triumph last season.
The highly-rated midfielder says he is determined to make an instant impact in the team.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s the dream of every player to play for the national team and so I am obviously a happy man,â⬠Adjei said
ââ¬ÅI have always been a firm believer of the fact that, there is always time for everyoneà at some point in his or her career.
ââ¬ÅThere is no doubt in my mind that my performances for Kotoko on the pitch have spoken for itself.
ââ¬ÅI must say that this call-up is long overdue but all the same I am ready to fight for a place in the team."
Adjei must work his sucks off to fight for place in a star-studded midfield which comprises of experience old hands Anthony Annan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Emmanuel Agyemang â⬓Badu and Andre Ayew.
The Black Stars will battle The Flames in Lilongwe on October 13 for a slot at next yearââ¬â¢s Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in South Africa.
