David Ospina wants out of Arsenal

Published on: 07 March 2017

David Ospina is ready to leave Arsenal.

The Times says the 28-year-old has become frustrated with playing second fiddle to Cech and may depart to seek more regular first-team action.

Ospina is set to start for the Gunners in the last 16 of the Champions League against Bayern Munich and against Lincoln City in the quarter final of the FA Cup.

His contract expires in 2019 but his lack of game time could see him try and force through a move away from the Emirates.

The keeper signed for Arsenal 12 months before Petr Cech's arrival and since the former Blues keeper arrived he has been second choice.

The Gunners have already begun looking at potential replacements for Cech, 35, and would have to sign another keeper to replace Ospina.
