Hearts of Oak U20 side Auroras suffered their worst defeat of the season after losing 3-1 to Emmanuel FC in the penultimate game of the first round of the 2016 Greater Accra Regional Division 2 Zone III league at the Borstal Park on Wednesday.
The league leaders raced into a two-goal lead just before the break, and they increased the tally a few minutes into the second half.
Right-back Mitchel Sarpong reduced the deficit midway in the second half, but his goal only proved to be a consolation as the young Phobians failed to stage a comeback.
Auroras suffered their third defeat of the campaign but they cannot brood too much as they will host Dynasty FC on Friday at the Tesano Police Depot Park.
