Dominic Adiyiah denies Reggina sack

Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah has clarified his transfer status and says he is still on loan at Italian Serie B side Reggina.

Reggina were reported to have cut short his loan spell at the club after spending six months in the second-tier Italian league.

The 21-year-old AC Milan man played only 10 games, usually as substitute and scored once.

I heard the news when I was in Ghana but I was not disturbed because it wasn't an official statement. I have been training with the team and nobody has told me I have been released by the club. My coach is happy with my form after the break so I'm still here at Reggina," Adiyiah told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I didn't get a lot of playing time during my first six months and that is what I want to change. I have not lost hope at all and want to challenge myself by bouncing back."

GHANAsoccernet.com sources say Reggina wanted to terminate his loan deal after failing to meet the financial demands of AC Milan for the budding striker.

But that has been sorted out and the 2009 Fifa Under-20 Most Valuable Player and Top scorer awards recipient is cleared to play.
