Duncan axes four top Hearts stars

Posted On Tuesday, 18th December 2012

Prince Atakora-Gyimah is among players axed by Hearts

Ghanaian giants Accra Hearts of Oak have terminated the contracts of four top stars in a bid to offload most of their fringe players.

2007 Ghana U-17 winger Prince Attakora-Gyimah, who joined the Phobians two seasons ago, is among players declared surplus to requirement by new coach Duncan.

The Phobians seem to have lost two influential players already as captain Mahatma Otoo and Laryea Kingston are both away abroad in bid to secure contracts abroad.

But Duncan who took over from C K Akunnor in early November, has decided to release midfielders Douglas Nkrumah, Moro Iddrisu and Isaac Ofori.

Ofori, who joined Hearts from Wa All Stars, was one of the best players for the former African champions last season.

Moro Abubakar has also made a handful of appearances this season for the club.

Several second team players have also been reportedly released by the capital club.

With the departures, Duncan is expected to line-up new players for the second window.

IT is the tactics and formation also from the coach that produces the magic. Remember Coach ADABIE when he took over Akotex and Juantex ?

I love the care. Team will bounce back.

  7. jayquee says:

pls leave duncan to do his work.

  8. quophai says:

U only dispatch off players when there are very good replacements. In this short period of time, can the coach get the necessary re-enforcement? Which local players will be released by their clubs at this crucial moment? I hope the coach knows what he is doing. Its good to offload players to make way for new ones but not in the second transfer window. Its crucial to get the required materials before offloading those available. Hot-headedness wont solve the phobia question. Calm heads are needed here.

  9. Moshie says:

    Useless players. Well done Duncan.

Eiiiie!! So which ones are they bringing on board as replacements after offloading these many players? Gyimah, Moro, Ofori & Douglas Nkrumah are very good materials why offload them? Hmmmm I hope Duncan knows what he is doing, whatever the situation is we the supporters will give Duncan our 100% as he seeks to bring the club back to winning ways.
