New Kotoko striker Emmanuel Clottey has urged the club's supporters to keep a calm head following their unflattering start to the season.

The 27-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors last week after leaving Tunisian side Esperance.

Kotoko are in turmoil with streaks of poor results dominating the major talking points in the West African country.

They just lie above the relegation zone with a paltry nine points from eight games and faces a difficult game against Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.

Clottey is urging for calm amid the growing anger and disappointments.

“The coaches and the management are doing their best for us, and it’s about time we also worked hard on the field,” he said

“I just joined the team but I think that this team has quality to beat any team in the country so people should be calm and we will get things right.”

The club is without a substantive coach with David Duncan likely to replace Mas-Ud Dramani.
