AFC Wimbledon have handed Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah a 10-day reprieve to recover after a difficult short spell at Norwegian side Vikings.

The 26-year-old is expected to join the side after the expiration of the leave period.

The Ghana international scored three times in 12 appearances for Vikings.

The Dons completed the signing of Crystal Palace’s striker early this month having had a brief spell on loan with the club back in 2014.

The poacher struggled to endear himself at Selhurst Park, making just 10 outings in all competitions since joining Crystal Palace from Margate in January 2012.

Kwesi Appiah has not featured for the Black Stars since 2015, having scored two in nine outings for the national team.
