Swedish-based Ghanaian midfielder Enock Adu Kofi is ready for a Black Stars call-up after being overlooked for seasons despite being impressed at club level.

The 24-year-old has been in top shape for Swedish Allsvenskan champions and league leaders Malmo FF since his summer move to the club.

Kofi's dazzling showing in the Uefa Champions League against Juventus a fortnight ago has edged Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah to issue a call for his invitation by the Black Stars head coach.

The former Liberty Professionals and Ghana U17 holding midfielder feels he is ready to grab his Ghana chance if he is handed a call-up.

"I started playing from the Europa League and [now I'm in the Champions league]. I also play consistently every weekend for my club in the domestic league but my chance has not really come and I believe if I'm handed the opportunity I will do my best to help my nation," he told GHANAsoccernet.com from his base in Sweden.

Adu has been one of the most consistent Ghanaian player abroad across the recent seasons but has conspicuously missed out on a Ghana call.

He was a member of the Ghana squad that finished fourth at the 2007 FIFA U17 World Cup in South Korea and graduated to play for the Ghana U20 side - Black Satellites.
