Agent of Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has hinted his client could sign a contract extension at AC Milan after turning down a lucrative move to Turkey.

Essien was linked with Trabzonspor but turned down the offer.

His agent Fabian Pivetau has hinted the Ghanaian will extend his stay at the San Siro.

“Essien will remain at Milan until June. Many clubs are interested and there have been some contacts, but he has signed a contract and he wants to remain until the end of the season and if possible he could even extend his stay,” he disclosed

Essien is currently on suspension by the Ghana Football Association after refusing to warm-up before the final 2014 FIFA World Cup Group match against Portugal in Brasilia.
