Michael Essien returned to Jakarta on Monday to start his career with Persib Bandung.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid star signed a one-year deal with the Indonesian top-flight side two weeks ago.
Essien arrived at the Soekarno - Hatta Airport from London about 22:30pm local time in the company of his representative Titto Godfrey Kofi
He will spend one night in Jakarta before moving to Bandung the next day to join the team.
The Ghana star will be re-introduced to the fans at a ceremony on 02 April.
