Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah puts Hearts on RED ALERT

Hearts are on RED ALERT after ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah revealed he was far from retiring from the game.

Appiah, 33, told Accra-based Joy FM on Tuesday that he was still active and had no plans of hanging up his boot anytime soon.

The news has put Hearts on alert to attempt persuade their former star to re-join his boyhood club.

Appiah has insisted in the past that he will consider ending his career at the capital-based side.

The famous former Black Stars captain played at the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cup in Germany and South Africa respectively.

    afrikaba1: Appiah is on the side of the players! Did you hear him say he is not hang his boots yet? A word to the wise is in the north! Lol... He meant it when he said he's still on the field. I think Appiah is louder than Muntari by saying that he still on the field. Appiah (capito) is one of the wisest footballer Ghana ever produced. He's on track and he's Ghana's future. Mark my words....

    he lost my respect for not facing officials about all the issues that went on in camp before they escalated. I thought he had excellent leadership skills. I will still wish him good luck for his determination to be active in football.
