Ex Ghana U17 captain Addo set for American switch

Posted On Friday, 30th November 2012

Paul Addo will join Portland Timbers in January

By Akyereko Frimpong Manson

Former Ghana U17 captain Paul Addo will leave Norwegian side Odd Grenland for MSL side Portland Timbers, Ghanasoccernet.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old was due to arrive in Oregon for medicals last month but the move stalled due to Timbers participation in the MSL relegation play-offs.

Addo who made just 11 appearances for Odd last season will travel for medicals in January to complete the move.

“They are still interested, and the move is just postponed so the plan is that I will be over in January,” he said.

He has spent two seasons at Odd after joining from Løv-Ham in 2010.

He joins midfielder Khalif Alhassan at the club.
