Winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi has confirmed his proposed move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko has stalled.
The Ghana youth international has undergone a successful medical at the club but dispute over the duration of the contract has put the move on ice.
Kotoko want to tie him to a three-year deal while the former Maritzburg United winger prefers to join on a two-year deal.
The ex-All Stars player has confirmed his move to the Porcupine Warriors is on hold.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s true that the deal has not been concluded. They want me to sign for three years and I want two. That is where the disagreement is,â⬠he told Happy FM
ââ¬ÅCoach Dramani wanted me to play in the return leg of the GHALCA Top-four but I decided against it because Iââ¬â¢m a professional and so the right thing must be done.
ââ¬ÅWhat if I played in that game and got injured. This is my career and my life and so I cannot take such risk.
ââ¬ÅBut Iââ¬â¢m hoping the issue will be resolved quickly so I can focus on my game. I have been training with Kotoko since last Saturday and Iââ¬â¢m happy here.ââ¬
The 20-year-old left Maritzburg United at the end of last season after spending three-years with the South African side.
