New Sekondi Hasaacas signing Philip Boampong says football is all about money with very little premium on loyalty.

The centre back was sacked by Hearts of Oak during the off-season and decided to join the Giants of the West.

"The poor run of the team didn’t inform my decision to leave. There’s no problem between me and Accra Hearts of Oak, everything is ok,” he told TalksenseSports.

“Ghana football is all about money, If Hasaacas will give me money, why will I like Hearts of Oak too much.

“Now football is not I like this team, if they’ll not pay you, you’ll have to play because you like them, no no.

“If now Kotoko people come and say they like Philip Boampong, why won’t I play there. It’s football, I sign for Accra Hearts Oak, I have to die for Accra Hearts of Oak, but I leave to Hasaacas, I have to die for Hasaacas.

“It’s not about Love. If you love the team and you don’t get anything from the team, you say Love, What is love?"
