Ex-Kotoko defender Joseph Hendricks wants Michael Osei to be handed the job on a permanent basis.

Osei has been handed the job in an interim capacity as uncertainty hangs over David Duncan.

It has been hugely speculated that Duncan will not return to his post despite being on leave.

And former skipper Joe Hendricks is convinced the former New Edubiase assistant coach has gained enough experience to handle the club.

â€˜’Yes, he has sacrificed a lot for the club and because he has been assistant for some time now, he has gained considerable knowledge about the game,’’ he told Nhyira FM.

â€˜’Don’t forget he worked under Didi Dramani and David Duncan, so he has learnt a lot and I feel that he has done well to be given the job, so I think the management should give him a contract to become the head coach of the side.’’

Kotoko have bundled out of the FA Cup after losing to Bechem United on penalties.

The Porcupine Warriors trek to Techiman to face City in the second half of the season on Sunday.
