Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah may have to consider replacing defender Daniel Opare in his squad to face Uganda in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers due to injury concerns.

Appiah has named the 23-year-old in his squad to face the Cranes of Uganda in next month's crucial qualifying opener at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

However, the former Real Madrid Castilla player, has been ruled out by FC Porto doctors and was left out of the Porto squad for their Uefa Champions League game on Wednesday night. checks can has confirmed the versatile full-back who can play at either sides of lateral defence, has not trained with the club for a couple of days and will require over ten days return to training.

Opare was a member of the Ghana squad that played at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Sclupp and Baba Rahman should compete for the left back while Inkoom and Afful fight for the right back position.

I suspect Inkoom will be called as his replacement.

Another useless,GOOD FOR NOTHING defender!! If real madrib, couldn't shape your game up, then am wondering what Porto can do! DANIEL OPARE ADDOQUAYE PAPPOE,how can a player that has spend most of his time at madrib, COMPLETE 11 CROSSES WITH ONLY 3 on target?!! He after that told us that,he did well in the yanks match! AA should forget about this defender because he is not serious about his career just like BOYE AND JOE!

Wimpy Appiah will continue to break our hearts with his trial and error method of coaching.
