Dominic Adiyiah is close to joing Levski Sofia

Ghana striker Dominic Adiyiah is close to agreeing a deal to join Bulgarian giants Levski Sofia, can exclusively reveal.

The 24-year-old is close to putting pen-to-paper after being locked in negotiations with the European outfit over the last few weeks. can reveal that the former AC Milan youngster will take a pay cut in order to seal the deal as he is desperate for regular action to boost his chances of making it to this year’s World Cup in June.

Adiyiah has never been short of suitors after Ukrainian outfit FC Volyn Lutsk slapped in a request to sign him last December.

The former Ghana Under-20 star has been unattached since he terminated his contract with cash-strapped Ukrainian side Arsenal Kiev.

Several Ghanaian players have been busy on the transfer market as they jostle to sign for teams which can guarantee them regular playing time with just less than six months left to the World Cup in Brazil.

    This guy, if he gets regular playing time, should get the nod over Jordan Ayew in the Black Stars squad for Brazil.

    So even if his performance cannot match that of Jordan's? Getting a regular playing time is good to start with but does not necessarily means your performance is improved. May be you situation is like ‘among the blinds one eyed man is king’. So you are getting playing time because there is nobody to compete with in the team, you see?
