Ghana have suffered another injury blow after Udinese star Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is ruled out of the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda on Friday, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

He has been ruled out of Udinese's Serie A clash with Palermo on Sunday evening meaning he will not be able to travel to Africa to join international team-mates for the game.

"I suffered the injury during the training and I wasn't able to recover in time for both my club and country," he exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Ghana coach Avram Grant will have to quickly hand late invitation to new central midfielders after Bologna new signing Godfred Donsah also suffered a shoulder injury and ruled out of the game.

Donsah was making his Serie A debut for Bologna against Sassuolo on Saturday afternoon when he suffered the injury in the 55th minute.

The Israeli gaffer is likely to look hand invitation to Sassuolo midfielder Alfred Duncan or consider Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey who has drawn attention with his impressive showing in the Spanish top-flight.
