Ghana U20 star Yaw Yeboah has expressed delight at the opportunity offered him by Lille head coach Herve Renard to make his debut in the French Ligue 1.

Yeboah, 18, was one of the standout players for Ghana at the 2015 U20 FIFA World Cup in New Zealand.

The former Right to Dream Academy graduate joined the Ligue 1 side from Manchester City and had until last Sunday to make his debut appearance for The Great Danes.

Yaw Yeboah was introduced into the side’s home clash with Olympique Marseille with 15 minutes to end proceedings and the Ghanaian has expressed delight at his debut.

Lille lost the game at  home by 2-1 and Yaw Yeboah felt disappointed with the score line but grateful for the opportunity to make his debut.

“Even though I am disappointed at the results, I'm very glad for making my first appearance in France. I wish this experience could have come with a victory. I am nevertheless pleased to have played a couple of minutes,” Yaw said after the game.
