Vice chairman of the Ghana U-17 team, Abdul Salam Yakubu, has confirmed his side will camp in Denmark ahead of the FIFA U-17 world cup in India.

They will travel to the European country to fine tune preparations ahead of the competition by engaging in a mini tournament.

Black Starlets, two-time champions of the world at U-17 level, will be making their first appearance in a decade and are determined to make a huge statement.

Paa Kwesi Fabian’s men have pitted against host nation India, South Americans Colombia and the United States.

“The team will be travelling to Denmark to compete in a mini tournament before the competition starts in India,” Yakubu told footballmadeinghana.com

“We are looking forward for support from the Ministry Of Youth and Sports to help us prepare well. We shall surely qualify from our group.”

Ghana placed second at the Africa Junior Championship following an amazing run in the tournament where they defeated the likes of Cameroon and host Gabon.
