FIFA U17 World Cup: Ghana starlet Abdul Yusif suffers no head injury, set to be released on Wednesday

Injured Ghana Under-17 defender Abdul Razak Yussif could be released from the hospital on Wednesday after suffering what appeared a frightening head injury during the FIFA U17 World Cup match against USA on Monday.

Doctors at Fortis Escort Heart Hospital in Delhi have confirmed the youngster suffered no head injury after he clashed with American captain Josh Sargent.

He could be allowed to join his colleagues on Wednesday after further assessment.

After undergoing cranial and cervical CT scans, the player has been told to observe protocol by spending few more days in hospital for further observation.

The Ghanaian youngster has been ruled out of the Black Starlets next match against hosts India on Thursday.
