JE Sarpong wants out at Aduana Stars

Veteran coach JE Sarpong has threatened to walk away from Aduana Stars after the sustained criticism he suffered during their 1-1 draw at home to Ashantigold in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The former Liberty Professionals trainer was a target of verbal abuse after they dropped valuable points at home again.

Sarpong is believed to be unhappy with the growing criticism from disenchanted fans and considering parting ways with the club in the coming days.

GHANAsocernet.com understands the ex-Great Olympics trainer could throw in the towel to save his reputation.

The experienced trainer replaced Kwabena Ameyaw as the club’s head coach at the start of the season after leaving second-tier Bibiani Gold Stars.

He could become the second coaching casualty in the top-tier after Dutchman Hans Vander Pluijm resigned from Medeama.
