Yangon: The first ever beach soccer coaching course in Myanmar has recently been organised having attracted 14 participants.

The historic course was set to pave the way for the creation of more certified coaches in the fast developing game in the ASEAN country.

The opening ceremony of the AFC Beach Soccer Level 1 Coaching Certificate Course was attended by important stakeholders including CEO and General Secretary of the Mongolian Football Federation (MFF) Than Zaw, Chairman of the MFF Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Kyi Min Thein, head coach of the national futsal team Khodarahml Saeid and others.

“It is the first beach soccer coaching course in Myanmar and we at the MFF left no stone unturned to prepare for this historic course,” said Than Zaw.

“Like football, beach soccer which was introduced in 2007, is receiving a lot of support for its development. The MFF is conducting a lot of training courses and seminars to gain all the new and up-to-date knowledge and latest information in the field of football as well as beach soccer.”

AFC Beach Soccer Coaching Instructor Ling Luhui, who delivered the course, said: “We will use this course to create three Fs. The first F is Friendship - we will build up friendship in beach soccer between MFF and others. The second F is Fun - we will learn and train with fun and everybody will enjoy the course. The third F is Feedback - we will give feedback in every session, share experience and knowledge together.”
