German-born Ghanaian forward Anton Donkor is hoping for a second chance with English Premier League side Everton FC following the expiration of his loan deal last week.

Donkor joined the Toffees from German outfit VfL Wolfsburg in January, but managed just three appearances for the second side before suffering a season-ending ankle injury.

The 19-year-old was allowed to return to Germany to complete his rehabilitation, but Ronald Koeman is keen to secure a fresh loan deal for the youngster this summer so they can have a second look at him.

The talented prospect has met with Wolfsburg sporting director Olaf Rebbe to discuss the move, and is keen on returning to England for the new season

Donkor said, ” I hope for my second chance."

“That is definitely the right way for me.” The injury has been cured, the second team will have a good training for the premiere league team."

"There are top stars like Kevin Mirallas or Romelu Lukaku play, but that does not frighten me. It’s great to learn from such players."
