The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie has assured fans that this season will be one of the best ever in the history of this country.

Afryie who doubles up as the vice president of the Ghana Football Association and management committee chairman of the Black Stars admitted he was not surprised by the quality of football the Ghana League has produced.

After two matches Wa All Stars lead the way with two impressive wins from two games.

West Africa football Acadeny (WAFA) produced a five star performance to beat title favourites Asante Kotoko in match day one though they suffered defeat at the hands of Berekum Chelsea in match days two.

Hearts of Oak under Kenichi Yatsuhashi have looked solid with two wins from two games and Afriyie says going by the two games played, this season will be keenly contested.

“To be fair if I am to predict based on what we have seen so far this season will be one of the best,” Afriyie told Accra based Happy FM

“If I had to predict from signing and what was done in preseason I would have thought Aduana Stars would have been solid but just look at what happened.”

“We are working really hard to get a title sponsor for the league and that will make it even more exciting.”
