Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has eulogized his former coach Jose Mourinho and explained why the Portuguese trainer isà synonymous with success.à Ã
Muntari was part of Mourinho's troops who won the treble including the UEFA Champions League in 2010.
ââ¬ÅMourinho is amazing, he is out of this world, he makes players feel they are the best even if you know you are not a top player,â⬠Accra-based radio station Starr FM.
"He is brilliant and knows his job. He is normal human being, a normal human being with confidence, self belief and goes for what ever he wants if he thinks he can get it, he goes for it."
Muntari is impressed with how Mourinho defends his players and give the right motivation for each player.
ââ¬ÅHe protects his players and makes them feel comfortable around him, and give you the freedom to do whatever you want. The freedom and protection he gives to his players makes you want to work for him; he knows how to make you a top player," he added.
ââ¬ÅHe tells his players what he feels is rightâ⬦ it is not to criticize but to make you work hard to realise your potential, he wants the best for his players.
ââ¬ÅMourinho is hard working and makes sure everyone around him works hard, he is tough but tough in a good way. If you a player, he doesnââ¬â¢t what you have done before, you play on meritâ⬦ so if you are not on form, you have to work hard to play and perform.
ââ¬ÅHe is not fake, Mourinho is realâ⬦ if you are a hard worker, he is easy to work with and everyone around him knows that. You only play when he trust you, if you donââ¬â¢t it means that he doesnââ¬â¢t trust and will openly tell you. He told me ââ¬ËSulley, you are not playing because I donââ¬â¢t trust you, if you want to play, give me a reason to trust youââ¬â¢ an when I worked twice my efforts, I started playing again.ââ¬
