Ghana coach Avram Grant is monitoring Spain-based midfielders Thomas Teye Partey of Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams for possible call-ups into the Black Stars.

The Israeli manager is currently scouring Europe to spot talents for the Ghana national team as they seek to boost the already strong squad.

Inaki raised eyebrows with his performances for his club as he has scored six goals for the top-flight club so far this season.

The winger grabbed global attention three months ago when he netted five times in three matches within a span of eight days.

Inaki has already played for the Spain U20 squad even though is father is from Ghana but can still switch nationality to play for the Black Stars as he has not yet played for the Spanish senior national team.

Former Tema Youth midfielder Partey is also being considered for a call-up to the Black Stars as he has also excelled in Spain under tough Altetico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

“The FA is monitoring a lot of players,” Afriyie told Atinka FM.

“The FA is [talking] to Partey, Inaki and another player from Germany - a lot of them.

“In monitoring, our lenses are on a lot of Ghanaians, but we have to leave that to the technical team.”

The Black Stars are seeking to boost the already strong squad after reaching the final of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
