Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah scored an own goal in Istanbul Basaksehir 2-2 draw against Fenerbahce in the first leg of the Turkish Cup at the Fatih Terim Stadium on Wednesday night.

The home side got off to a flying start as Turkish midfielder Cengiz Under powered them into a 7th minute lead before quickly adding his second of the night in the 11th minute following a great work from Emre Belozoglu and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Fenerbahce reduced the deficit after Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah tried to make a clearance but the ball awkwardly hit his shin which beat hapless goalkeeper Faruk Cakir in the 12th minute.

Fenerbahce restored parity in the 61st minute through veteran Dutch poacher Van Persie to give his side a huge advantage going into next week's second leg at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
