Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi wants the Local Black Stars to top group C and remain in Bloemfontein ahead of Tuesdayââ¬â¢s clash against Ethiopia.
The Ghanaians are in pole position to qualify from the group after picking four points from their opening two games.
The team was pegged back in their 1-1 draw against Libya and currently lie second on the table ahead of their final group meeting against the Walia Antelopes.
Ghana FA chief Kwesi Nyantakyi remains confident about the chances of the team and wants them to finish their final group game in style.
ââ¬ÅWe have four points and what is important is to qualify to the next round of the competition,â⬠Nyantakyi said
ââ¬ÅHaving secured the points, we are in pole position to qualify to the next round. Our destiny is in our hands.
ââ¬ÅWe need to secure at least one point in order to make it to the quarter-final stage. The technical people would have to map out the necessary strategies in order to ensure that the team advances.
ââ¬ÅMuch as I want us to qualify, I also think that if weââ¬â¢re first, it gives the team a psychological boost because weââ¬â¢re not going to travel away from Bloemfontein which has become a comfort zone for us.
ââ¬ÅWe are hoping that we top the group and remain in Bloemfontein.ââ¬
