Nyantakyi has called for sanity in the Ghana game

Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi is urging the media to refrain from insults during sport radio discussions insisting constructive criticism is the way to help develop the game in the country.

Nyantakyi added that clubs of members of the football fraternity who have grievances can also use the General Assembly or the Executive Committee to make their complaints.

The GFA boss says he has stopped listening to radio because of the airwaves has been poisoned insults rather than constructive criticism which insisting constructive criticism is what the GFA needs.

“You need not to sit on radio and insult the chairman. If you have any grievances come to the right forum like the General Assembly or the through the Executive committee to express yourself," the GFA boss told Metro fm.

“If you insult on radio you have not done anything, because I don’t listen to radio and if anybody calls me on the issue and tells me I just tell the person I am not interested so if you have heard it take it to yourself.

“We are not afraid of criticisms, but it should be constructive ones. I am urging everybody who has issues to come and let’s debate them to get the right alternatives for Ghana football. No human being is perfect so we should be civilized by avoiding insults to help develop the game.”

Several experienced journalists Moses Foh Amoaning and Joe Aggrey have complained about the quality of sports journalism because of the insults and unsubstantiated accusations.
