Ghana FA vice suggests more stringent administration

Vice President of the Ghana FA Jordan Anagblah says it is time to change the leadership style at the association.

Anagblah who also doubles up as the Chairman of the Regional FA of Greater Accra believes the liberal way of administration is responsible for the recent rampant leaks of confidential documents to the press.

A gratuitous phenomenon of leaking out confidential reports from the Ghana Federation including a post-mortem report of the Black Stars failed campaign at the 2012 AFCON to the local media has become a worrying feature in recent times.

Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantkayi had expressed his repugnance at the latest â€˜shameful’ acts which amount to a betrayal of the oath of secrecy that they took upon assumption of office.

But his deputy who apparently is one of the longest serving Ex.Co member says the trend is unprecedented and strongly suggests a more regimental approach in handling the situation.

“The GFA President’s (Kwasi Nyantakyi) leadership style is very good but I think it needs to be changed because some people are clearly abusing it,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“His (GFA President) authority is clearly being undermined and therefore a more stringent way is required to curb this unfortunate trend.

“Why would things being discussed in confidence all of the sudden be the subject of public debate?

"In over my 19 years as being part of Ghana football at the top, I have not experienced this kind of thing.”

Anagblah also suggests members should be made to turn in all technological gadgets before sitting in meetings to mitigate the trend.

“If I was the President, I would ensure that members drop their phones and other gadgets before entering the chamber for a meeting.

“That is how bad the situation has got to but it has unfortunately become very necessary,” he added.
