The Ghana Football Associations says a decision has not been taken on bonuses or extra payments for the Black Stars at the World Cup finals in South Africa. Authorities expect the issue to be stitched up during the team's pre-World Cup training camp in Paris, France which begins on 24 May.

The Ghana Football Association and officials from the Sports Ministry will meet the entire provisional 30-man squad to decide on the winning bonuses and appearance fees for the final man squad.

"We wanted to meet with the team and ensure that everything is put in place. Lucky for us, many of the current crop of players played at the last World Cup and so it shouldn't be a problem for the team. It is really not a big deal because the players have trust in us," Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi told Ghanasoccernet.com

At Germany 2006, each member of the final squad earned a US$ 12,000 winning bonus and an appearance fee in the region of US$ 30,000.

Bonus rows have often disintegrated African countries at the World Cup finals and wrecked their campaign with the Togo dispute hogging the headlines.

Ghana FA will receive 8 million US dollars if they fail to progress past the Group stage and have already receiveed 1 million dollars for their preparations.
