Sport Evol, the match organizer for the international friendly between Ghana and Senegal, says it will give AFCON flops the Lions of Teranga ‘a new image’.

The exhibition match will be played at the Stade Océance du Havre on Saturday, 28 March.

Ghana last played Senegal on 19 January this year at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and lost 2-1 in a Group C match.

But the Black Stars went on to reach the final and lost on penalties to Ivory Coast but the Lions of Teranga failed to progress from the first round.

"It is not for nothing that our company Evol Sport chose Le Havre as venue for the friendly match Ghana / Senegal on 28 March" General Manager Pierre Ingel said.

"Today, if we chose to play in Le Havre, it is primarily for the public because we found that for sometime the Senegal play its friendlies in small stadia like Saint-Leu la-forêt.

“I think with the standard of this team (Senegal), it deserves to other play areas. That's what, with Stade Océance hosting Ligue 2 of Le Havre, we found it useful to play here."
