Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has credited Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu for his international rise.

The 28-year-old has not looked back since he marked his international debut in 2013 during an international friendly against Turkey.

The former Mirandes shot-stopper remains the country’s safest pair of hands despite criticism over his performances.

Brimah has constantly been picked ahead of Fatau Dauda and Stephen Adams and he has poured massive praise on goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu for the opportunity.

“Now people call me international goalkeeper. I owe a lot to goalkeepers trainer Nassam, he has quality and always give us good training and it has changed me a lot. So I hope for more,” he told Metro TV

“Yea, to play in your national team is not easy , my first call-up in the National team was a game against Turkey and since then I think my career has changed.”

With Adam Kwarasey reluctant to return to  international duty with Ghana, coach Avram Grant has settled on the former Nania FC man to be his number one.
