Ghana midfielder Michael Essien to be unveiled by AC Milan Tuesday

Ghana midfielder Michael Essien will be unveiled by AC Milan on Tuesday afternoon as he is set to seal his switch to the Italian giants after passing his medicals.

The midfielder passed a series of test on Sunday paving the way for the move despite false reports of some health problems.

Essien, according to the false information from Italian newspaper La Republica failed the first part of the medical tests, will now sign a contract with Milan on Monday morning.

The former Chelsea midfielder who arrived in Milan late Friday to complete his switch from the London club had medicals at the La Madonnina Clinic.

He is expected to the complete the process at Milanello, the club’s training grounds and sign an 18-month contract.

Essien is expected to earn a combined salary of €4.5million by the time his contract with Milan expires on June 30, 2015.

He will accrue €1.5million for the next six months and an additional €3million for the 2014/15 season.
