Ghana international Wakaso Mubarak returned to action for Las Palmas as they succumbed to a 2-0 loss against Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday.

The Black Stars winger came off the Las Palmas bench in the 81st minute but he could not rescue them from the jaws of defeat as Lucas Perez Martinez scored late to add to a David Simon first-half own-goal for Deportivo.

Wakaso, 25, had not featured for the Yellows after the international break as he was left out of the squad for their games against Valencia.

But manager Quique Setien restored him to his 18-man squad for the home game but he had to come off the bench to play with 9 minutes of normal time left to play.

Wakaso has played 7 games for Las Palmas since the start of the season. He is on loan at the club from Russian side Rubin Kazan.
